Cybermat (Doctor Who)

A redesign of the metal rodents used by Cybermen. Cybermats are dispatched to infiltrate bases and operations and quietly but surely sabotage them. They can also be carriers of diseases and viruses, which they can use to harm their victims.

I based my design on the original props from 1967 and I was also inspired by another redesign by artist, Daryl Joyce.
The Cybermat I have created has a flexible metal spine and scuttles swiftly by with its metallic insect legs. The Cybermat here also has pincers at its front to enable their sabotaging purposes, they can easily cut away strong wiring like paper.

This concept was made by pencil sketching, followed by digital illustration and painting using FireAlpaca
