Alien Heart Concept

This concept is part of a creature design I am working on. With this creature, a few of their organs are external. The heart is bonded with their external skin.
I drew up a few sketches, basing the design on a Human Heart before applying digital painting create a working concept. The alien skin is similar to ours, but more disgusting and dripping in wet slime.

With the Heart being exposed, the rhythm of the creature's heart beat must be loud and unbearable to lesser life forms.
